Is the male body considered disgusting?

I was wondering. I am a straight male, and I dont think the male body is disgusting. But its less graceful than the beautiful female body. I think in its ideal form, the male body is not ugly. But very few men are in that kind of shape. Most people think of the lumpy, hairy variety. But if the men are in shape, is it still gross? It makes me feel that my gender is considered unattractive.
Note that male models get paid half of what female models get paid. That is complete irony, in that nearly every other profession, men make twice as much as women do. Is this because our society is male dominated and deems what is attractive? I believe that you can recognize what is attractive in your own gender- that does not mean you find it attractive in a sexual way. But you know what looks good and what doesn't.
Does anyone agree? In Greek society the male form was considered more attractive than the female. Of course, the Greeks were overrun with the gays. If men don't realize what looks good as part of the male physique I doubt they would spend all that time in the gym trying to look like something. Rather they would accept a notion that male attractiveness does not exist.

you're definitely on to something, question. you're probably going to get a wide range of answers, but speaking as the hetero female that i am, the average male body is a beautiful thing to behold.
i think it's a turn on when a man can appreciate the same, and not hide behind the homophobic social contructs of today.

Why would it be considered disgusting? In proper form, it is a site to behold. As is a woman's.
Also, do you think the Greeks generally had small penises, or did all the sculptors just use a single/uniform sized penis to apply to all subjects to avoid some sort of issue or conversation, like...
