Links to come CNN has a very horrible live video of the ship hitting the bridge which immediately caused the entire main span to fall into the water with cars and trucks on it

How in the hell could this huge national tragedy happen ! Ships in the Chesapeake Bay and the Patapsco Potomac and all other rivers where ships can travel must have US Coast Guard licensed pilots commanding the ship with the only exception being ships of the US Navy and US Coast Guard whose captains often use the pilots service but under federal law can command their vessels in all US waters without assistance

Pilots of ships in the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers undergo long training to become licensed as Bay and river pilots it is hard to belive a bay pilot could have conned the ship right into the bridge , the area is lighted as is the bridge and visibility is good as can be seen in the live videos of this disaster occurring

A flash can be seen when the ship appears to have hit the bridge for now it is assumed the ship hit the bridge a huge search and rescue is right now underway to find survivors in the water the US Coast Guard has boarded the ship and is investigating all aspects of this disaster

Our hearts go out to the families of the victims in this most unreal tragedy that no one can imagine would actually happen !

We can be assured the cause of this disaster will be found and the guilt placed
where it belongs

Today and the next few weeks just as the nation became all Hoakies after the VA Tech massacure we the people are now all Marylanders as this bridge in Baltimore was a famed icon of the State of Maryland
