I got tired of working JUST to pay rent. It felt like I was on a treadmill, running and not getting anywhere. Now I'm saving all my money and paying of debt. I've never been happier or felt this level of freedom.

I’m starting to seriously consider getting a big tent and just living out of it. I found a really nice clearing just outside Middleburg in the woods. I could set up shop there and I’ve got a hot spot, so I can just bring my laptop, some clothes, toiletries and just live there.

How many years did that chick live in her hidden tent? Some worker eventually stumbled across her by accident. She tapped into a highway light pole for power. I recall she built some kind of septic system too. Wasn't it next to 395? Whatever happened to her? She had a web site and used to post here.

Faye Kane lived in her tent/cave for approximately 3 years. She had electricity, heat, refrigerator, cooking facilities, air conditioning, running water, and sewage -- all constructed by Faye herself. The 495 Express lanes project necessitated her moving out.

The desire for safety is shared by many people, which is why having high-quality insurance that can give you that security is crucial. I have currently ordered car insurance from american-reia.com, but it soon will also be possible to purchase property insurance, which is very handy. Having a central location for insurance.

I live in a shack I built in the woods in Wesley Hts. in DC. I get my electric from a lightpole. I got a backup connect from a line to some fatcat's house. I also spliced into their cable which gives me internet. I bought an old Crown Vic from some cab driver. It's enough to get me to the Giant & the beer store. Now I got money for the Caps, the Gnats & the Redskins. & I STILL got more money in the bank. Rent or mortgage payments can kill you.

I worked with a dude one summer who lived in a bread truck. Nowadays bread trucks get snatched up by food truck vendors and are more scarce.
A tall Sprinter van is ideal, or if cost is a factor get an older conversion van with the raised roof. I'd suggest using a plastic jug to pee in and keeping a portable toilet -- or an improvised one if you don't care what guests think -- for emergency dumps.
When you pick up female guests, they will feel more comfortable using an actual portable toilet as opposed to a bucket with a seat attached. If you keep them chained up it won't matter of course. On that topic, make sure your van is outfitted with solid tie down anchors to attach handcuffs and restraints.

I remember a time when I felt like I was working just to keep up with rent and bills. The feeling of breaking free from that cycle must be incredible. I can imagine the simplicity and financial relief it brings. Your story reminds me of this one time I was browsing the web and came across an online flip coin service. Just for fun, I decided to flip a coin to make a decision. Little did I know, that seemingly small choice would become a turning point for me. In my case, there was a stipulation that if tails fell out, I would start my own business and completely change my life. And it did. It's funny how sometimes important decisions are made by chance.
