I got a small UPS from Bestbuy for about 60 bucks. It keeps the router going for about 2 hours if the power goes out.

See if you can get one for free that doesn't work because it needs a new battery, then get a new battery for $25 or so. If you can find one that takes a 7AH 12V battery, that's the most common size.
Then you got a UPS for the price of a new battery. Doesn't get much cheaper than that!
