Nothing against UVA, but "Software Engineering" is a dumb major. Everyone should know how to program a computer because it's a useful tool for all the other fields. But it's not essential as a field unto itself.

Computer Science or Applied Math are the legit fields of study, not "Software Engineering".

Went to Cornell Engineering. Their computer science department doesn’t even teach coding. They leave that shit to schools like UVA. It’s all theoretical at Cornell. I’m sure Stanford and MIT are the same way.
