A large group of people in the D.C. voters picked Hard Times Café in Bethesda as the best place to chow down on some chicken wings
"Delicious!" says Andy Alderdice of Bethesda. "Not too spicy. I think they're perfectly cooked; they're not real [sic] breaded. Lots of good white chicken."
Manager John Burdett lists off the choices.
"We have Original Texas, we have a honey barbeque, a honey mustard, a chili lime sauce and Inferno."
So what's the hook?
"I think it's the seasoning, but more importantly, I think it's the grill," says Will Steplight, who makes the trip up from the District. "Once they coat it with their sauce, they put it on the grill. It's a nice texture and taste."
Taste isn't the only draw for locals.
"It's a great atmosphere," says Jessie Alderdice. "It's like a local staple here."
More than 71 places were nominated for the Best Wings of 2010.
The final results were:

on further reflection, the DC Urban Moms (DCUM) forum is much much better. Not focused on Fairfax mind, but it's better all around for metropolitan area issues. And they don't tolerate the vulgarity and threadfucking thaat is so rampant here.

This is really a shame. This was an opportunity for all undergrounders to unite in a common cause. Think about it, we could have had fisters and nonfisters, Democrats and Republicans, racists and race baiters, tinters and non-tinters, those with multiple personalities and those without multiple personalities, gheys and gays, etc. etc. etc. all united for a noble mission. Maggiano's actually came in second with almost a third of the vote. Now I've had some excellent meals there, but it's stupid for a national chain to get ranked that high.

Could happen in either service; but a demotion from Captain to Lieutenant would be a one rank demotion (i.e., army). Theoretically possible in the Navy, but you'd be told to simply GTFO rather than be demoted from O6 to O3..
