I don't know if it is photo shopped or if it happened to be a guy who looks kind of like Bush, but the notion that the POTUS would dress up to play soldier for a day would seem to me to be pretty damn insulting to those serving in uniform. I've never been a fan of politicians doing this kind of thing, whether it was Michael Dukakis pretending to drive a tank or Bush landing on an aircraft carrier.

The troops look mixed to me. The ones sitting on the right side of the craft are UK, but the helmet on the soldier second from left looks much more like the standard U.S. issue PASGT helmet. Different fatigue camo patterns too.

This may be true, but why would the POTUS be in with a group of Brits and not American soldiers?

Those aren't ACUs or MARPATs.....plus the pistol in Bush's holster isn't an M9.

It's just a photoshop.

besides the obvious, if it was him, he would be wearing much heavier body armor. if you look at pictures of him in public, you will see he has body armor on under his suit.

the secret services' heads would explode if he even said he was going to "on a mission with troops."
