The information I see about electric car batteries says that tesla car batteries (excluding tesla roadster original for obviously being out of date already) come with a warranty period of 8 years, once outside the warranty period the cost for a full battery replacement is 7000-12000 depending on vehicle model. We can find more figures and run the complete numbers if you'd like but I think its a safe best you've saved wayyyy more than that by the time 8 years is up considering you purchased 0 fuel, 0 oil, no oil changes, and you charged your vehicle on electricity for a cost of like $1.50 to fill it up.

Other than coal though I think we should diversify and use as many various resources as possible, including lithium batteries and electricity. You may not know this but many powerplants have converted from coal to biochips to power the generators.
