You are allowed to concealed carry (with your permit) or open carry (no permit required) on Metro in Virginia.
There might be some funny rule about the Pentagon: is the entire thing a federal reservation? We're talking about a bus stop, where normally you could be carrying.
Of course, the policeman was carrying. I guess the crazy man was able to surprise him.
Even though (according to the usually-lying) news reports, this policeman (Force Protection for the Pentagon) was already on high alert due to the January 6th "insurrection".
When I ride transit systems in Virginia, I carry concealed.
I don't go into D.C. very often -- not at all for the past twi years in fact. Mainly I stay Just In Fairfax :)
