Nothing, I sold my entire portfolio of stocks right before Biden took office. I did excellent during the Trump legacy years. I was able to retire at 50 and I am now financially set for life.

I did well under Trump. I also did well under Obama. I am up over 12% since January 20 when Biden took office. The current yield to value of my portfolio is almost 2.5%. What have you been getting on your cash?
Another part you leave out of your boast is the tax impact of your sales. Assume a portfolio where gains account for 50% of total value. A Virginia resident who liquidated would likely pay a minimum of 26% taxes on liquidation. So by selling you missed out on the appreciation from the past three months. You are probably getting no better yield on your cash than I am getting on my portfolio. Plus if the market tanks 10% your portfolio would have still been higher than what you will be holding after taxes.

The stock market may go down every day and it is very unclear. If you ask me, I want to invest my money in something more solid and sure. A great option I recently discovered is Diversyfund, they want to share the possibilities of investing in Real Estate with all the Americans that were possible before just to wealthy people. Another great point is that you don't need a massive budget but you can start just with 500$ which is more than great. Diversify away from the stock market’s roller coaster ride and grow value with real estate.
