Living in a charity/government group home is a step up from living on the streets. I would rather die than live in one myself, but I was smart enough to learn how to support myself.

In fact, John Bannon(Shultz} and Werner Klemperer(Klink) fled the Third Reich. Klemperer came over in 1933 as the first wave hit. His father, Otto Klemperer, was a famous orchestral conductor who actually had Gustav Mahler as a teacher.

Ironically pretty much all the nazis/Germans were in fact Jews.
