Why are the Chinese throwing wiggers in to re-education camps?

That's all I hear about on the news lately, other than the wuhan flu. Why are the Chinese persecuting wiggers and how the fuck did wiggers get over there?

The Uigurs have frequent riots and occasional terrorist attacks. And of course the Chinese government cracks down hard. Out of some 12 million Uigurs in China, an estimated 1 million are in re-education camps.
