The tough part is...it's such a huge amount of reading that people need to do to learn, and most are just not willing to do so if they haven't really stumbled upon sources that catch their interest. Until then, if it does ever happen, they just go on blindly, and calling those who research and educate themselves "stupid" "crazy" "conspiracy theorists" "retards" etc...

When I was growing up there was an old freemason guy in my neighborhood. Apparently he was pretty high up too. He was a real nasty alcoholic that all the kids were terrified of, and he was real racist toward blacks. When I was in middle school he was accused of shooting and killing my friend's dog. The cops couldn't prove it, so a bunch of kids grouped together and smashed all his car windows and vandalized his house.

I have some real heart-warming memories of freemasonry.
