So I checked for "unix support" for a major game "Divinity: Original Sin". Says "ubuntu 14 or 15" ?! both of those lasted not even a year they were "supported" and are no longer supported "really". DOS abandoned support of past and future linux and also freebsd unix altogether (freebsd origins: usa, not germany china like ubuntu is)

NOW - THEY DON'T SUPPORT LINUX in DOS II. Only iMac and only 1 version (update your os? your screwed. don't update, your double fucked you _must_ update)


Also, DOS says "Mac OS X 10" (but Apple doesn't support or show it on app store to those who macos updated).

So, for your gaming money - this company spent your "hours of play" on "being ubuntu friendly", then REVOKED and ABANDONED it.

AND - SCORES OF USERS left messages "freezes when opening" that weren't resolved.

What was resolved? China got more ubuntu users and sold more china hardware during the deal / and by advertising it.

And even for those it did work for: for how long? You are abandoned by compatibility hacks in Ubuntu quickly. Ubuntu has military weapon reverse engineers who _INSURE_ nothing in the past will work and "not upgrading is penalized"

Ubuntu is full of hacker holes. Only a fool would load it on a computer.

many "heard of" softwares got their start on stealing free software, attacking the free base (compatibility or simply removing it from internet visibility)

and the paid up wares - they quickly have euro spies who steal the code and copyright it. often they convince the company "they aren't fair to the community for not releasing code". Sim City versus City Skyline is a good example of that.

So euorpeans extremely jealous of Sim city bullshitted EA to release the source. They then pan handled the "free community" and google to code "cities skylines" while they hoarded and hacked. Now search for open source for cities skylines: YOU CAN'T HAVE IT, your only allowed to "MOD" and they insure mods are broken versinoally (you guess it, that's so any (competing or free) mods are mobbed - stolen - then made unworkable).

Cities Skylines now is in cahoots with Steam to block "searches" for sim city or not support the software / not promote it, because "big tech hates companies that actually paid it forward and did it the american way".

But that's not a unique story. seen it for 30 years. some cases are even more drastic but the above is "a popular case"
