You are right about about O-care. That it literally destroyed 1/5 of the greatest economy (wait, that is another narrative) of the already pitifully weak American economy that O destroyed after Bush had worked so hard to perfect. Whatever. But let's assume you are right.

Trump did not need the Dems to repeal and replace, or for that matter just repeal. In fact, he cut the Dems out of the discussions, if I recall. Told them to fuck off. And despite owning Congress, Trump could not get the job done. At all. Obamacare is still the law of the land, and fairly popular to boot.

Forget the lies, the self dealing and all the other bullshit. This is pure Trump incompetence. And it means that our health care system, and therefore 1/5 of our economy, remain in ruins despite Trump having every opportunity to fix it.

Actually, McCain campaigned on 'repeal and replace' Obamacare. Trump did too. If Trump got around to the 'replace', he might have had a chance.
