I LOVE the Chinese Thing. And it's a great way for meade to reach out to the growing Asian-American audience.
Any time meade goes into a chinese restaurant and orders thus 'Me Chineeeeeeeeeese! Me want egg loll and stil flyyyyyyy. Me want flied liiiice and foltune cookie! But me no want wuhan fruuuuuuu!' it always brings the house down! They always give him free garlic chicken sticks and fried wontons as a show of genuine appreciation.

Except the crowd was just there to watch. They were spectators not protestors. Most people in Richmond didn't mind the monuments.

Of course, Meade's incident has been forgotten. Media has been inundated with a lot of dramatic and violent imagery and Meade's mental fit just doesn't cut it. I'm sure it will be trotted out again when Meade gets a gun and starts shooting, but we are going to have to wait for is dad to die for him to get desperate enough for that.

The Day of the Locust is at hand. Meade has paid his tithe to Hell and he must repent before it is too late. Meade selfishly prayed for international recognition. Meade's prayers were heard by Mephistopheles. There always a 'Monkey's Paw' consequence when a prayer is granted by the Demon King. Those who learned of Meade due to this incident will know him as the 'hysterical crazy fat man'. That will not going equate to the fame and fortune Meade desires.
