THE SCAM IS ALSO BEING DONE AT FAIRFAX COUNTY DUMPS - which used to be swept clean of nails regularly - now run by niggers and have local spics spreading nails
they've also caught local companies hiring drug addicts to break car windows - making it look like kids (and in the past, corrupt WTOP tokyo rose reporting it was kids)
(which is not only fraud it's also insurance fraud - a federal offense - becasue many broken car windows are insured)

the theory is, the full time all wheel drive needs all 4 tires to be the exact circumference. If you have a set of high milage tires, just changing one can cause problems. If your tires are low milage, the difference in circumference shouldn't matter. Just don't have the dealer do it or it will be documented for possible warranty issues.
Now, all 4 tires never wear down at the exact same rate, and there are minor differences in the tires themselves when new. Personally, I prefer a pickup with real 4 wheel drive over all wheel drive. Because the back usually wear quicker than the front, I buy 2 tires at a time.

Why? Why is that? Why is buying a car and dealing with a dealership such a fucked up process. Nothing else you buy is so frustrating and obscured in tricks and schemes as buying a car. And everybody knows it yet nothing is done. Why isn't there legislation imposed on the car industry that looks out for the buyer. My car was right at the 1 year mark and I stared getting phone calls and letters telling me my extended warranty had been modified and "I had to contact them to renegotiate new terms". What a total fucking scam. How many people fall for that shit?

Dealerships are also known as stealerships. Only total rubes get their cars serviced at dealerships. Find a locally owned shop that you trust. You can thank me later.

And how does one go about doing that if you only have your car in for recommended services every few months at most. Hell, some modern cars you can go 7500 miles before needing anything. Some, most, many "locally owned shops" probably pull their own scams as well.

Every time I go to recycle my oil at FFX transfer station on 66 I get a nail or screw. This is since 2019ish, 4 trips 4 nails. First three were repairable. the last was too close to the sidewall so cost me 150 bucks for a new tire.

You ask your friends and neighbors where they take their cars and if they like the place and are satisfied that the mechanics are smart and good and reasonably honest. I take my car to a place that's a little bit more expensive than average but the owner is in my darts league and seems like a good guy.
