It is really cold and comfortable in the house. It is 60 in the basement 64 on the main level and 68 upstairs. The lady next door says I am killing the planet. I figure I am paying for all the electricity so fuck it. I like it cold! The bitch next door drives a Chevy Volt and keeps her A/C set to 77 degrees. She says my A/C unit outside only cuts off at night.

The reactor at Lake Anna is generating power whether his A/C is using it or not. If he can afford it, he can use all he wants. There is no conservation of energy from a nuclear power plant.

You only have one AC unit? I have three. One for the garage and one for upstairs and downstairs. All set to 64. I'm even at the beach and nobody's home. There's nothing wrong with that at all. You'll live longer.

I live on the top floor of a 3 story condo building. I have a water source heat pump on wheels that I got for free from work. It was used a few times as a emergency backup a-c for our server room. I climbed up in the attic and tapped into a circuit for common area lighting which is on the condo associations meter. I get free power from that and I hooked the hoses up to my washer cold water connection and put the other hose in the washing machine drain. I get free heat and a-c from this setup, it is great!

We keep ours in the high 40s and have never had mold in the 15 years we've been doing it. If we can't see our breath, it's too hot in the house.
