But it's not working. Trump is going down in the polls by a noticeable amount since the riots started. I don't believe he's down by 15 points, but he's almost certainly down and he shouldn't be. My kid telling me that they weren't going to vote in Nov was a wake up call to me. They were a solid Trump supporter until about a month ago.

I think Tucker Carlson was on the right track last night - that the only people getting disillusioned by the rioters are Trump supporters. We don't expect the GOP to help us, but we do expect Trump to do something. So far, he hasn't done enough. And if I can move from ardent Trump supporter to 'voting for Trump because Biden is worse', then anyone can. And that's where I'm heading. And that means the people who were 'voting for Trump because Biden is worse' will be sitting it out, voting 3rd party or even voting for Biden. Trump can't afford to lose those votes.

Again you misunderstand. I will vote for Trump. I thought Obama sucked. I thought Bush Jr. sucked. I thought Clinton was the best president of the last 4, including Bush Sr., and he sucked almost all the time. I know the media is dragging Trump down. I've read "Turn Left", which shows through peer-reviewed research that the biased media skews election results by up to 18 points through lies, misreporting and ignoring stories. And that was a dozen years ago. It's probably 30 points now.

I'm saying Trump needs to get tougher, not less tough. Order has to be restored or he won't win reelection. Then we're all going to be fucked.
