Will the dems cave on gun control in Richmond starting today or will they keep pushing it? thoughts

I doubt they knew there would be this much backlash and know it's probably political suicide for the party's control if they go with all their batshit crazy stuff. I expect red flag to pass as well as one-gun-a-month and that's about it.

Over 500 people showed up at the PWC government center yesterday afternoon (in the ice and snow) to confront the board of supervisors attempt to repeal the pro-2A sanctuary motion the former board passed last month.

Only a handful of the estimated 180 speakers supported the new board and were booed when the left the building. The rest of the speakers chastised the new board members and said they would never give up their guns.

The board freaked out and moved the vote two weeks to avoid the confrontation.

^^^^ so about 29 incidents a year and that includes people committing suicide while on school property and shootings not related to the school at all that occur on the property. Based on the hysteria of the gun grabbers, one would think this was happening every day.

In the past 50 years, there have been less than 10 school shootings in 13 states, almost all of them gun-loving states like Idaho, Wyoming, the Dakotas, Alaska, etc.

In that same time, there have been over 170 in California alone. California has the most restrictive gun laws in the nation.

Only nazis and commies love gun control. They understand that taking the ability to defend yourself, your family and your rights by taking away the only thing the government really fears makes you sheep. Libs love being sheep. It's hormonal.

If Northam wants to ban something simply because it's black and can be dangerous, he could start by banning niggers.

They sure are and our rights have already been infringed big time. More infringement is on the way and like the OP said its just going to be a couple changes with minor impact.

Perhaps we should take the guns from the criminal niggers first and see how that goes. Go ahead. I'll wait here.

Our gun rights were written in the US Constitution and nothing will prevent that.

Sorry Ralphie.

Highly Probable: 1) Red flag laws enforced by localities, 2) Authorization for localities to impose certain gun restrictions, 3) Expanded background check requirements. The first two would sit well with 2A areas because the local enforcement aspect would essentially allow them to opt out.

Possible: 1) End reciprocity for concealed weapons permits, 2) Number of gun purchase limits, 3) Registration of certain types of firearms

Elimination of certain types of weapons within particular localities would not only infringe on the 2nd amendment as a partial annulment would in fact be a complete annulment of the 2nd and would violate the equal protection clause of the 14th.

Different jurisdictions regulating an activity differently has not traditionally been found to be a violation of the Equal Protection Clause. It doesn't matter whether those jurisdictions are different states or whether they are different localities within the same state. Fairfax County currently prohibits the discharge of firearms under circumstances which would be legal in less densely populated areas of Virginia.

It's only a few dead kids. Hundreds at most. They probably would have grown up to be liberals, anyway. If they had the chance to grow up.

It is people like you who make me proud to be American.

I am now convinced that Coon Man was the one dressed in a KKK hood. His State of the Commonwealth Speech even sounds like it was delivered by a Grand Wizard!
