Christmas sucks.

Christmas will be only as enjoyable as you make it. I had a drinking problem for 20 years and my wife and kids left me when I couldn’t get a hold of myself. I sobered up and have spent the last 8 Christmases alone. I get myself maybe 2 or 3 things, and make a nice meal for myself. I’ll also go visit the old folks home down the street to spend time with some of the elderly there that have no one to share the holiday spirit with. It’s food for my soul. Try to find some joy. Every day above ground is a good day my friend! Merry Christmas!

Thanks. I am sitting here drinking Miller high life and watching parking wars. Once I get about 20 beers in me I am going to pass out. I don't go back to work till Monday so I have a long lonely 4 days ahead of me. Going to get two more cases of beer tomorrow but will have to eat ramen noodles till I get paid on Friday.

The website operator has told him "not to post or return" (in an existing post by the sysop): not because of a political leaning but for continual illegal and gross spam along with messages that are only to demoralize if not kill others. That is a pretty good rate. I like the Holiday Inn Blue Ridge Shadows or the Marriott Town Place. The Holiday Inn is nicer IMHO and has a small restaurant attached and the pool is indoor vs. outdoor for Marriott. Even the government rate is closer to $100 for both though which is 4x what you are paying. How did you get such a good deal?

Yeah, a few years back I had to be out of town on business over Thanksgiving. I had 3 days alone in a nice Hampton inn. I drank beer, vaped some weed and had food delivered. It was the happiest Thanksgiving of my life.
