I wish I had more white friends. How do I go about getting some?

I'm white and grew up around Seven Corners and ended up going to Jeb Stuart for High School. Needless to say, there weren't many around my area growing up, so I just starting hanging out with Hispanic and black kids. Most of them didn't make a big deal about me being White and we had some good times. I always felt sort of alone just because of the cultural differences and I hoped going to College might make things better as I'd be able to meet a wider array of people and even other White people. I went to VCU though and it was pretty much an extension of Stuart.

I'm 30 now and still keep in touch with the people I hung out with in High School and a few from VCU. A lot of them though don't have their shit together and the ones that do don't have much ambition. I hate to say it, but I feel like it'd be different for them if they were White. I would like to make new friends that are White, but where does one even go to find any? Golf? The Country Club? I know it sounds stupid, but I'm tired of feeling like the Token White guy.

So, Bro, I believe that it will be nice for you to join some community where you could find new white friends. Did you ever try yourself in volunteering? You can join Volunteer Centre County, for example. I know that there are many different people who are working there and I am sure that you will find some people with the same interests. It is also will be nice for your future resume and will be a bonus for you when you will get a new work.
