When was the last time a president sued a major news organization? Perhaps only Trump has tried it?

Currently we would guess they believe they are un-touchable and believe only ratings and winning matters. It would be nice for America to see their lies enterprise go down.

REMEMBER: Trump threatened this early on to sue and CNN and NYT were making statements concerning cleaning things up. He punished them by limiting reporter access to the whitehouse. He called them fake news.

But did democrat news agencies clean up? Or did they just re-strategize their lies during a week of toning things against Trump down? For continual 24/7 Trump bashing and mindless impeachment claims (no legal claim of any law broken has been uttered by any of these impeachment "news" people).

In legal terms that means they can settle out of court or see him in court (Trump could be sued for costing them legal fees).

People thought he might be joking when he said he'd sue stormy.

That letter his legal team wrote was a doozy. I’m guessing Trump provided most if not all of the language for it. I never knew you could claim damages from being treated unfairly in the news. It’s also glaring that for as much as he claims the media is lying, he never seems to be able to precisely say what they’re lying about. It’s like he doesn’t understand the difference between facts and opinions.

The OP is playing you. The link doesn't exist and NEVER did exist.

The link may not exist but the letter Trump's lawyers wrote does exist. It's an absurd letter. If Trump did dare to file the lawsuit, it would have zero chance of surviving a 12(b)(6) motion. Of course, CNN might play along with the suit for a while to issue discovery to Trump seeking documents, written answers to questions, depositions, etc. That's why Trump will almost certainly never file the suit, or, if he does, he'll voluntarily dismiss it almost immediately.
