Nah, a wave election would not have allowed the incumbent party to pick up seats in any chamber of Congress. 40 incumbent GOP congressmen retired and the dems picked up about 40 seats. That, along with vote harvesting in California is what got the dems the seats they needed. Now they have to defend those seats in traditionally red districts without one accomplishment to take back home to the voters. And Trump will be on the ballot this time. I like the GOP's chances.
