Giving the government an interest free loan is really dumb. Perhaps it explains why so many live paycheck to paycheck, live in fear of shutdowns or strikes and vote Democrat.

Gerry, you're silly. I'm not getting a refund. I have to pay the government when I finish my 2018 taxes. I don't let the government use my money for free by having them take extra taxes so I can get a refund.

Just don't go to Walmart at the end of January if the government is still shutdown. 45% of Walmart's grocery revenue is from EBT purchases. The "thugs" will abandon their carts when they realize there isn't enough funds on their EBT cards.

This same thing happened about 5 years ago on a Saturday when the EBT electronic processing system went down for the East coast. It looked pathetic at the Walmart I went to - abandoned carts of rotting food. Pathetic!
