Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Monday that Iran is set to deliver a "punch" that will stun world powers during this week's 31st anniversary of the Islamic revolution.

"The Iranian nation, with its unity and God's grace, will punch the arrogance (Western powers) on the 22nd of Bahman (February 11) in a way that will leave them stunned," Khamenei, who is also Iran's commander-in-chief, told a gathering of air force personnel.

i would be impressed if they did but it would be a very dumb move on their part. seriously, there would be bombs dropping that night (you have to coordinate that shit) from israeli fighter jets (i dont think they have stealth capability). however, it would be awesome if nobody claimed responsibility for doing so because it's plausible deniability. iran would just lash out at all non-arab nations, flailing it's arms and crying foul. i like israel's "OH HELL NO!" position. they have patience but then when it's run out, they snap and utterly destroy you.

if they demonstrate a nuke, that's going to be the last straw.

Testing a nuke would mean that the US and NATO would take out military sites with cruise missiles. Iran would have to use a nuke on something for it to have any impact. If Iran used a nuke on anything the entire world community would take out Iran.

Couldn't be more true. It's endearing in a way, but they need to know when enough is enough. There's a proportionate response and then there's overkill.

I heard they will preview their own tv show Iranian Idol. Female contestants must wear head to toe burkas and only sing after the men sing. Losers will be taken out and lashed twnety times. Male contestants who are or appear fem will receive an extra twenty lashes.
The judges will be three old guys with beards and head wraps.
