Is Obamacare working for the poor and middle class of this country? Here are the stats from 2017 (the last year of complete stats that are available):
Average Premiums were up 21% from 2016 and 56% from 2014 (the first full year)
Average Deductibles account for 14% of the average plans monthly total household income
Average Out of Pocket expenses is up 6 - 15% from 2016
The cost of deductibles and out of pocket expenses as well as the premiums is over 20% of the average family plan holders household income
Is that bending the cost curve downward?
Is that providing better coverage for less?
Now granted, the VAST majority of Obamacare subscribers qualify for subsidies, which is really just expanded Medicaid and another wealth transfer from the upper middle class and wealthy to the working poor and lower middle class.
When one starts looking into the fraud (illegals who sign up, subsidies going to ineligible subscribers, etc), the estimated costs is over $2 billion a year.
That would be Great! Spread the pain equally across the board so that EVERYBODY can suffer. Right now people on the individual market and small business take it up the ass. Lets make Obama voters and white guilters feel the burn for a change.
