Exposing globalism when Bush was president was good, Obama bad, Hillary running, bad. Since Trump isn't a globalist and his loyalty is only to the American citizens another made up story is manufactured, like Russian collusion, to try and hurt Trump.

ratting out corruption in your country "your not allowed to report" can be an effective tool
it's highly debatable what if anything on wikileaks isn't lies posted by trolls in gov agencies hoping to fool other gov agencies in other countries - if not just to flood the site to make it useless

Assange doesn't ask for "military secrets" and asks people not to post them.
It's a straight forward honest site that posts exactly what politicians fear: information they labeled as "secret" in order to keep them out of prison.

Just because "wikileaks" didn't play any major role in "THE MEMO" does mean it's a failure. Not every topic has gov workers sitting on illicit data they feel the law requires to be exposed.

Government workers are people willing to unfairly take wages they know they didn't earn and are in effect: stealing. And if that isn't it, the governments are more particalized: gop are fired from dem offices when a hostile takeover occurs - the remaining staff are "in on it" (they aren't leaking - it'd lower their pay - and they're there for the pay).

i always believed Assange is in no real legal danger that he has those high profundity media events to spurn interest in "being a global citizen and not being forced to be quiet about illicit acts"
