America to Lose its Prime Credit Rating?

It only makes sense..

Economists have long predicted that larger deficits will translate into higher interest rates and inflation. Erosion in the U.S. credit rating would start that process.

You know, it wouldnt take much to turn this all around. Some minor tax hikes and common sense cuts in spending to show intent to control the deficit. But with Republican ideology run amuck that is not posible.

Please conveniently ignore the liberal entitlement programs that bleed this country dry.

They are pennies compared to what corporations and rich farmers get.

The top expenses America faces...

- Defense
- Medicare
- Interest on our Debt

We can't do much about the third one. What do people propose we do about the first two?

As far as Defense goes, maybe we can tax the Germans, and other countries that host our troops. I am betting that the costs of our operations far outweigh the cost of the land they are letting us use. Since folks want to go to a "global" economic model, that only makes sense.

Medicare - more government programs to train doctors and specialists so they can setup clinics for health care. That way the folks who cannot afford insurance will have access to affordable health care (basically free), while the rest of us continue with our paid plans as usual. That will significantly reduce the costs for Medicare - to both the federal and state governments.
