we have circuit malfunctions as a normal part of operation. there's no connection between it and the fire - no evidence of any flaming transformer at all.
(power lines can throw sparks if a tree falls on them, a fallen transformer might burn (if not filled with mineral oil - which some are)) but ... these things don't happen by themselves
