linux is not new and redhat is the strongest linux and the cloud runs on linux...but if redhat is owned, there are many other flavors to choose from...definitely not a monopoly worth paying so much

I was going to write an impact article on software and why "software author liability" is important BUT ...

$34B is ALLOT OF MONEY

it's too soon to tell what it means

it COULD BE A BAIL-OUT allowing redhat owners to retire (make their investment liquid), which is a common move in business. it would involve later favors going the other way

it may have no impact on redhat because it may be purely a financial move

we'll see

No necessarily OS/2 Warp, but I did buy the regular OS/2 from Egghead back in the day for $10.99 on clearance. It consisted of 72 1.44MB discs. That was a damn long installation process.

os2 was ahead of it's time and microsoft totally stabbed ibm in the back by "independently" developing windows 3 at the same time

bill gates was the precursor of the scum that run silicon valley today and even his charities are death by vaccines

mystery babylon is well on it's way...but i digress
