It was a Trumptard, sorry.
Won't be caught until associates/relatives turn him in.
There will be a total of four implicated, one of whom knew something was up but didn't say anything (just heard the suggestion and said "Count me out!"). The others will be the bomb builder, buddies who helped with everything, and delivered the bombs to the target (via mail or whatever).
They won't actually get fingerprints from any of the components or packaging that match in any database. Even though one of the people has fingerprints on file for some reason or another. All other leads will turn up dry: no useful video or anything and nobody saw anything.
Right now they are trying to put together scenarios to figure out the steps by which the package got there. This will give a list of locations...too many locations, really, but they have nothing else...and they will get a list of all cell phones of anybody who was near the locations for the time periods theorized. This will be a huge list, but they will look for cell phones (people) that would not normally be there. Also look for people who have been there multiple times and other basic patterns. Then run that through every fucking database imaginable trying to come up with SOMETHING. They will find that the list is too large and won't actually come up with a reasonable set of people to check out. Cuz it will be like 700 people per location. They will illegally (?) use the NSA to scan all email and web browsing of all the 700*10 = 7,000 people and look for suspicious activity. That will leave them with about 6,000 people who have visited right-wing hate sites. The problem is: of those 6,000, you can't rule out the obvious libtards, in case it was a lefty false flag. So the next thing is to look at all those people and see which ones have ever communicated with each other (email, on bborads like FXU, Facebook, Gunbroker, and all phone calls). Now you have some known networks of people.
But that's useless, because: a bunch of people, a few of whom know each other, went to one or more public places on or more times. If they were places that they should not logically have gone to, that might get you something. There are patterns that could give a clue. But after all that, you're still fishing wildly. Going to wind up profiling and suspecting some random losers who could maybe possibly be the type -- in an alternate universe. But the real perpetrators were not QUITE as dumb and careless and you hoped. They were never in the originally filtered data set to begin with.
None of these people has ties to known terrorist or radical groups; it's just homegrown.
Sonny and Bubba will never be caught.
Unless someone turns them in.
