Southern Border Solution

A unifying political and logical strategy - the US declares a humanitarian emergency along our southern border at the UN. We re-label all of the illegals as refugees. Stop calling them illegals. That is stupid. Call them refugees.

Go to the UN and make it a UNHCR refugee problem.

Have UNHCR set up and operate secure UNHCR refugee camps along the Mexican side of the border. Photo ID, fingerprint, and DNA test everyone going into these camps and store the data. Heck get their country of origin and bill their Government for processing and handling and storage.

The refugee families can stay together at UNHCR refugee camps and are provided with a roof over their head, meals, water, toilets, etc. UNHCR also provides schools, health care services, and counseling. UNHCR can also process the refugees' asylum requests and match them up with countries willing to take them and jobs in the host countries.

UNHCR specializes in refugees and has millions of refugees in hundreds of UNHCR refugee camps around the world already. They are great at dealing with refugees. Just a bit underfunded but they are pretty good at what they do.

Any refugee that gets caught crossing the border into the US illegally gets charged with a crime, processed in 24 hours, and immediately becomes in-ellgible for US Citizenship for at least 10 years (kids too). They immediately get sent to one of the UNHCR secure refugee camps for processing.

All the costs for handling and processing the refugees becomes a UN problem and we can bill them for what the US contributes.
