Yes and no. Eesh isn't going to have to pay the entirety of the judgement, but according to the judges ruling in PACER, he will still have to pay a sizeable sum. Eesh has done all he can up to this point not to pay it in full, and did well by filing for bankruptcy. The Morenos can pursue him all they want, but he can just keeping filing and filing until the Morenos are tapped out(How they aren't already is beyond me). They could conceivably put the house on the market and use those funds to go after Eesh in court, but at this point, I think it'd be more worthwhile to focus their attention on the Leisers and sue the shit out of them for the laundry list of unethical practices they have undertaken. Eesh also will very likely not be able to get any kind of decent job with his record and his bankruptcy, at least for a considerable amount of time.

While we can spend days here arguing and measuring the positive & negative outcomes of the final judgement, it's a tremendous victory for Eesh for the simple fact that he won't have to pay anything close to the $1.4 million that was originally determined he owed, if anything at all. He'll still have to duck and dodge the Morenos, but he can do some IT stuff on the side and make some cash under the table. I've said before and I think he should take the advice of getting the hell out of VA at least temporarily. The Morenos will have a tough time getting any of his money if he goes to say, New York and works there.

That was true anyway. Now he can work and not worry about his wages being garnished by the Moreno Crime family. He might have crappy jobs for a while, but a lot of employers put more emphasis on recent work history rather than a bankruptcy a little while back. He could certainly crawl out of that shit long before Miz will be able to get out from under the covers.

Please cite for us what part of the judgement survived this ruling.

Clear victory for Eesh as the entire lawsuit was wiped out and the Moronos are left with nothing except debt to the Sleazers. The idiot who said Eesh still has to pay anything needs some reading comprehension classes.

The verdict still stands but the judgment has been rendered uncollectable. Eesh didn't win, but he cut his losses to an absolute minimum. Meanwhile his opponents have a moral victory and an empty bank account to show for their efforts.

Both these guys have issues but eesh is much smarter than Miz. Eesh may encounter a few roadblocks due to his bankruptcy but it is not going to be a big deal for him. I know several people who went through bankruptcy and it was overall a very positive experience.
Miz on the other had has some mental deficiencies that are going to cause him trouble his entire life no matter what his financial situation is. I truly feel sorry for William and I hope he gets control of himself one day.

Actually, there is no verdict in a civil lawsuit. There was a finding and judgment for the plaintiff, but once the bankruptcy court granted a discharge of the judgment, effectively the finding no longer legally exists. It would be more complicated in the case of liens, but not for Miz v. eesh.

There are verdicts in civil cases. In a civil jury trial it is the finding of the jury. If the judge accepts the verdict it merges into the judgment. It is common in civil trials for the losing side to make a motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict, just as it is in criminal cases.
Technically a bankruptcy does not wipe out a judgment. Bankruptcy can discharge the debtor from personal liability for the judgment. If the judgment lien attached to specific assets before the bankruptcy petition was filed the lien would survive the bankruptcy discharge unless the bankruptcy court found the lien could be avoided. The most common reason for avoiding a judgment lien is that the lien attached less than 90 days prior to the bankruptcy filings. This is why it is common for debtors to file bankruptcy shortly after large judgments are entered against them.
If the bankruptcy lien cannot be avoided, judgment creditors will usually ask for relief from the bankruptcy stay so they can foreclose on the assets secured by the judgment lien. In chapter 7 bankruptcies this is frequently granted. The judgment creditor can then foreclose. So even though the bankruptcy would discharge the debtor from personal liability it is possible the judgment creditor could still collect something.

Me too. Miz is just a man who is still a child on the inside.

In the eyes of eesh, his imaginary supporters and non existent live in girlfriend, Katie, he is the winner and king of ffxu, when in fact, he is merely the Charlie Sheen of ffxu, AIDS and all.
