Not existing loans, only $500k and above so it will only affect the wealthiest areas of the country. The rich will pay their fair share, just like libs have been crying about for 8 years and Obama couldn't do it.

While tax experts say that most people — especially renters and people with relatively small mortgages — would pay less in taxes under the bill, thanks to a near-doubling of the standard deduction to $24,000, those who itemize won’t be able to squeeze as many benefits out of their homes.
“That’s going to hurt some people,” said Jim Angelini, a tax professor at Suffolk University. “The government will be subsidizing homeownership less.”

That is incorrect. On conventional mortgage loans the cap on interest deductions was going to be 500k, they raised it to 750k.
When it comes to HELOC loans they have completely stopped the ability to deduct any interest paid on the loan.

Fuck you people!
I'm going to save millions on my taxes. But I will hire nobody. I will just take my extra money and invest it to make millions of more dollars for me.
I made my money the old fashioned way - I inherited it and re-invested 20% annually back into my trust fund. I keep my monthly expenses under $600,000 so I am good.
My tax rate is currently only 15% - because I live off dividends and interest.

Wow dude you are like totally rich and awesome. Now go upstairs and eat the hot pockets Mommy made for you. Also, don't forget to make you're bed or no TV.
This is important info for our vulnerable over 65 residents that have worked hard their whole lives and now are having the banks turn their tax deductions into their profits.
Bob Corker and 14 other Republican senators got their kick back though when it comes to llc and pass through real estate investment companies. If those senators were poor old Republican votes living out their golden years on HELOC's they would have not allowed this travesty.
