Tropical Depression Thirteen in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico could become a hurricane in the next couple of days, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said in its latest advisory.
The system, about 95 miles (155 km) east of Tampico, Mexico, with maximum sustained winds of 35 miles per hour (55 kmh), was expected to remain off Mexico through to late Thursday, the NHC said.
"Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the depression could become a hurricane on Friday," it said.

We had a lot of good 'canes under Bush 2. Under Obama, we had only one good one in Sandy, and that was clearly nothing but an election eve stunt. It's good Trump is picking up the slack. After Houston, I'd like to see Florida get smacked down once or twice, & another hit on New Orleans. Then, in no particular order, Charleston, Virginia, and NYC, but this time with a Cat 5 that could really do some damage.
The NYC 'cane can also clobber New Jersey. I wonder if Trump will be as nice to Gov Christie as Obama was.
