The priority of those CEOs is to their companies. Associating with Trump could cast their companies in a negative light, and shareholders wouldn't be happy with that. No LOL about it.

My guess: it was a sham anyway, just Trump trying to get rich guys to spend money at his resorts. Trump has no plan for creating jobs. Otherwise he would have already laid that plan out in detail after he got elected. You can't just get flown into West Virginia every month and talk about coal mining, it's a serious issue.
