Trump openly admits that meeting happened under those pretenses and that anyone would have taken that meeting to get dirt on their opponent.

And Spicer openly admits he met with these guys to listen to their bogus story about Seth Rich.

The problem isn't that they met - the problem is that they lied about it and tried their best to cover it up because they know it was wrong.
