He is trying to get Sessions to resign so he can make a recess appointment to the AG without any approval process so he can fire Mueller and the Deputy AG that appointed him.

Its a terrible plan of course as, even if he finds a lacky to do his bidding the AG cannot act against the law of the land and we will ultimately end up with another Special Investigator only one less respected than Mueller who will be compelled to follow the evidence Mueller is undoubtedly mapping out as we speak.

Trump is desperate to avoid review/leaking of his Tax returns and investigations into his business history. Desperate.

You know, when a criminal is running from the law and it catches up to him and he gets thrown in jail it's satisfying but it's not as fun as was the hunt itself. I think we need to learn to enjoy the moment before Trump gets thrown in prison.

I also love the idea of Sessions being used and abused and thrown in the gutter for the sewer rat he is. His fall from grace as a veteran senator to fired AG thrown out of office.

But Sessions has been nothing but loyal to Trump. His first major political supporter. The only thing Sessions has done is 1. recuse himself from and investigation into a campaign he was part of - a legal requirement. 2. Not prosecuting Hillary; Im guessing Donald earlier on said 'dont bother' to that who fishing expedition. Besides she has been investigated by Committees, the FBI since 1994 Whitewater - she has been under investigation on and off for 23 years. Its not likely there are many stones un-turned and she would, after all that time she has never done anything illegal.

So why is Trump destroying is most loyal supporter?

He said it publicly in the weeks before his inauguration. Now he's acting like it's somebody else's fault- because his support base is just a very stupid group of people.

It's funny how Sessions got caught lying to Congress about his contacts with Russian officials, and Trump didn't bat an eye. But now that Sessions isn't actively protecting Trump from an investigation over Russia, he's become the target of threats and ridicule from the Oval Office.

That really shows you what Trump's priorities are. There is really something wrong in Washington right now.
