The GOP Senators are rather dim witted bunch, however, even they are smart enough to know that with the slow motion filibuster they are not going to get their agenda passed in any way and will probably lose the majority. Knowing that being in the Minority in the Senate is not the place to be they have a huge incentive to make hay while the sun shines and pass at least an Obamacare repeal bill this Congressional term. It may not be enough to save them but the revenge will be rather satisfying. The real joke is that the shoe will be on the other foot and they will have to decide what to do with a divided government and no filibuster proof majority.
