Get familiar with new Virginia laws that go into effect July 1, 2017

http://wtvr.com/2017/06/29/virginia-general-assembly-2017/

Hundreds of new laws take effect in Virginia on Saturday, July 1, ranging from hunting attire to birth control.

For example, the criminal procedure has changed regarding the suspension of a driver’s license if they were charged with marijuana possession. Previously, the person lost their license for six months. Now they can keep it.

Marijuana possession. HB 2051/SB 1091. Previously a person lost their driver’s license for six months when convicted of simple possession of marijuana. Now drivers can keep their license but will have to perform 50 hours of community service in addition to any other sentencing. The exception applies only to adults; juveniles will still be subject to license suspension. Read more, here.

Every 50 seconds, a person is arrested for marijuana.
Take less time than that to send a message to your Representative to support HR 1227, the bipartisan Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act http://act.norml.org/p/dia/action4/common/public/?action_KEY=20483

quote-let-me-tell-you-a-few-things-about

"ok ok that's not how it goes. let me tell you how it goes now."

ah more never ending scott's law from Wordpad !

(note that it's a sentencing mandate - but there is general lack of ruling a Judge must sentence by formula, also note there's a hundres or thousans of years law against use of formulas FOR ANY REASON during a case. "it's formulaic, it's not allowed to argue using formulas as a way to express (fairness or law's needs)")

they are intentionally "freaking the system" to harm individual rights in the courroom against government prosecution

but also freaking the system so that our laws are weak. for example; a law that is broad that is split into many descriptive pieces is just hard to keep track of (becomes thousands of laws). then in court laws are applied un-equally - but no-one can keep track of that because today's laws aren't like yesterdays. the Judge supposedly has to go by only the laws effective when the crime took place: but that also becomes something people will find un-knowable and impossible to track (as to whether the Judge is cheating)

it's democrats - and what democrats want is to destroy law, have parliament leader who gets away with murder, a king of the hill government like south american governments

It's only illegal if you get caught, and it's not like the cops are genius sleuths.

That's what I say every time I run a red light. If there's no one at the intersection, why stop?
