The press will cover this carefully, as given their progressive impulses they will not be able to reconcile their instincts for Muslim tolerance with like instincts for illegal immigrants, who are cast perpetually as victims and increasingly as a vital voter bloc/special interest group. Since no one progressive narrative can prevail, neither will.

I do have empathy for the Muslim community. Having a 17 year old girl beat to death is a traumatic event for the community. And finding out the hard way that the progressive media is not really a friend won't be pleasant.
