The scenario is North Korea has launched a missile towards the West Coast of the USA. It has fallen short, kaplunk!, right into the Pacific Ocean maybe 1000 miles short. What actions would you take?

I would bomb North Korea into oblivion. Slap crippling sanctions on Pakistan and demand their denuclearization and offer to bring Iran into the global community if it completely democratizes. Then use a Iran as a proxy against middle eastern sheikdoms to force their reformations as well.
