HOw could they appoint National Security Advisor and not know he was paid half a million dollars this past Aug-Nov while campaigning for Trump?

Is there no application that asks 'who have you been employed by in the last year?' or 'have you been employed by any foreign government?'

How did he not volunteer this information?

How did it not come up in casual conversation - 'wanna join us for lunch?' 'no thanks I have some contract work for Turkey I have to get out by tomorrow...'

I imagine vetting for a fry cook at McDonalds would be more thorough.

Flynn's lawyers are saying they informed Trumps transition team that Flynn might have to register as a foreign agent. Pence implied repeatedly in interview that this was the first he had heard about this on Fox News even though he was in charge of the transition and we know now that he had known.

If Pence is lying about knowing this, whats to say he's not lying about knowing Flynn had spoken to the ambassador about the sanctions.
