Cern has been opening portals into other dimensions. Problem is they have no control over where/when/if these pop open. Anyone can walk into one at any time, anywhere, as they popup and disappear.
somehow or other the bodies get returned to physical dimension through other opening portals.

It takes a great deal of stupidity to destroy yur own house, in this case our own planet. Someone needs to stop them before we all suffer the same fate.
