Black Sabbath forged the road for Heavy Metal. So glad I got to see them twice, and Ozzy multiple times.

Thanks for the memories...

Ozzy looked like a drug ravaged 70 year old man in that final performance of Paranoid.

Oh wait..........

Black Sabbath is first and foremost...Ozzy Osbourne. Now, unlike most Sabbath fans, I'll say that RJD did an amazing job caretaking that band and then moving them forward until they could be reunited with Ozzy. But, I never listed to the Ian Gillan nor Tony Martin eras. And yes, I'm aware that Martin's time with the band was longer than RJD's, seconded only to Ozzy's time.

But, now that the band is officially over...I'll go and give it a listen.

You are really missing out on some quality music. I jam to it often.

Black Sabbath was formed in 1968. This is 2017. That's 49 years. Math...do you know it?

I know what the article says...I also know that Black Sabbath was formed in 1968. I didn't write the article.

Mr. Dio was an INCREDIBLE guitar player. Ozzie Osbourne should just die, he is years behind schedule. Fuck that guy.

Tony Iommi and Bill Ward are essential to the sound. The down tuning Iommi had to do just to play, created that unique sound. And Bill's drumming isn't the typical mediocre timing you expect with most bands.

Now the first day that I met ya
I was looking in the sky
When the sun turned all a blur
and the thunderclouds rolled by
The sea began to shiver
and the wind began to moan
It must've been a sign for me
to leave you well alone

I was born without you, baby
but my feelings were a little bit too strong

On the scene a priest appears
Sinners falling at his knees
Satan sends out funeral pyre
Casts the priest into the fire
It's the place for all bad sinners.
Watch them eating dead rats' innards
I guess it's the same, where ever you may go
Oh lord yeah

I can't ignore Metallica's popularity and the sound on "Master of Puppets" and earlier but, I take issue with the following items:

1) You can't say, "We'll never make a video..." And then, inside of a year later...make a video. "One" is a fantastic song and a classic video but, I lost respect for them after this.

2) When your record company's executives tell you to cut your hair or you're not going to be allowed to make another album with them? The correct response is to not cut your hair and go home and wait for the phone to ring. Artists need to own their art, to include their own appearance. Wanna' cut your hair? Fine...but that's your call.

Lol I remember this interview on MTV. It was probably Head bangers ball. Anyway, Kirk said exactly that... "We will never make a music video!" ~FAIL~
