Nope he generally avoids performing in establishments that serve alcohol. It makes him uneasy.

The money is just as good, no such thing as dirty money, money is neutral. Sweet tea is more or less a "gay drink" like cranberry juice is. The sweet tea song could replace "Dancing Queen" by ABBA as the gay song of choice.

Meade Skeleton doesn't even want to work. He's grossly overweight and incredibly lazy.
He'd use the excuse that he turning down the gig because of the gayness, but in reality, Meade Skeleton lacks the character needed to hold a job.

Despite his controversial statements about homosexuals, Meade has a large gay following. His flamboyant persona, his campy country/lawrence welk style music and clothing choices make him a hit with the gays who tend to gravitate toward troubled and tragic performers.
