The pamphlet advertised a "private reception" with Trump, as well as a hunting trip with Donald Jr. and Eric Trump, for sponsors who gave $500,000 under the Grizzly Bear package or $1 million under the Bald Eagle package. The pamphlet said the money would go to conservation causes.

That wasn't a result of sportsmen. It was primarily commercial hunting. Sportsmen are the ones responsible for beginning restoration efforts.

In fact, sportsmen are responsible for starting most all of the major conservation efforts in the country. Pay for the bulk of it through fees, specific dedicated taxes on sporting goods, ammo, etc., licensing, and private organizations focused on conservation like Ducks Unlimited, etc.
