Trump announces 5 year ban on lobbying by administration officials

President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team announced that they will institute a five year lobbying ban on members of their administration.

The ban was announced by Trump transition team official Sean Spicer, who stated that each member of the administration would be required to sign a form stating that they would not be a lobbyist.

Spicer added that registered federal or state lobbyists would not be allowed to serve in the Trump administration, but did not explicitly mention former lobbyists.

“It goes back to Mr. Trump’s goal of making sure that people aren’t using government to enrich themselves,” Spicer said on a conference call with reporters.

Vice President-elect Mike Pence has ordered the removal of all lobbyists from President-elect Donald Trump's transition team, The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday night.

The action was among Pence's first since formally taking over the team's lead role. Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey was abruptly dismissed from the post last week.

Critics had excoriated Trump for including lobbyists, Washington insiders, and Republican Party veterans among his team, saying it contradicted the antiestablishment message that defined his campaign.

A lot of people will not be happy that Trump is reversing the affects of career politicians (criminals) that have changed policies to enrich themselves! It's about time we right this ship and get back on course!
