Someone told me Trump will 'give babies a chance.' She is a staunch conservative Christian. Im sure she was alluding to abortion. Id correct her but she is not likely to understand. She is not stupid but Im sure no fucks are given by her about facts - her position is emotional.

She should say Trump will 'give fetuses a chance.' She would be mostly wrong about that too but it would be closer to the truth. If Roe v Wade is overturned Trump has said 'it will go back to the states' he agreed then anyone wanting an abortion would have to 'go to a state where its legal.' So, based on Trump's own interpretation the only fetuses saved will be of those who reside in mother's without the means to purchase a bus ticket and pay for an overnight stay in a hotel room. Affluent fetuses will still be screwed.

Back to 'babies;' babies generally suffer under Republicans. Cuts in social programs such as SNAP, Planned Parenthood and of course Medicaid. So in this case babies born to lower class mothers are screwed big time. Babies of all incomes will suffer by having to breath more polluted air, eat less safe food and will have fewer protections from toxic food and product additives if consumer advocacy and environmental regulations are reduced. Babies under Trump most certainly will not have a good time of things...
